Dog for Children
Assistance Dogs for Children: A unique support for children with disabilities
The aim of the training dog is to open up the child to the outside world, to enable the child to connect with his environment and to reinforce contact with reality. They also help the child develop in terms of socialization and communication, as well as psychomotor and psycho-affective development. These dogs are mainly intended for children with rare/orphan diseases. They can also accompany adults with specific disorders, provided there is a real need for autonomy.
To benefit from an Os'mose service dog, you need to live within 100 km of the Os'mose center, and in a place with a fenced garden. Each family also undertakes to diligently follow the training to receive their future dog, and then to ensure the dog's well-being by giving it quality food, taking it out regularly and giving it all the care it needs.
