Dog for epileptic
Response or alert dog for people with epilepsy
The dog can either help if a seizure occurs (intervention dog), or prevent a seizure (alert dog) so that the owner can get into a safe position. Depending on the person's needs, commands may include: fetching help, pressing an alarm button, bringing objects (medicine, telephone, pillow, water, blanket, etc.), immobilizing the owner on the ground if he is too agitated (by lying on him), making the person safe by preventing him from crossing the street, etc.
