Thanks to their training, service dogs are able to:
- Retrieve objects out of hand;
- pay at a counter that's too high;
- open/close doors;
- push buttons (call a lift, switch on/off lights ...);
- help to undress;
- call help if it's needed;
- etc…
If you would like to apply for an assistance dog, please fill in the appropriate form by clicking on the following button (Please read the conditions in advance*):
*Entrance requirements for requesting an assistance dog:
- Live within 100km or one hour's drive of the training center.
- Live in an environment suitable for the dog. In addition, the home must include a fenced garden (minimum 30m2).
- Be able to support a dog financially (food, veterinary expenses, etc.)
- Be able to attend group classes on Saturdays and individual classes on weekdays for several months before and after receiving the dog.
- Have a clear need for autonomy
- Be able to communicate with the dog by voice and/or gesture
- Be able to take the dog out (daily walks, veterinary ...)
- Commitment to continue working on specific commands
- Be physically able to create a relationship and reward the dog (caress and/or food)
