Vedia shines a spotlight on the ADI workshop organized by Os’mose

In response to the ADI (Assistance Dog International) members' desire to have exchanges during practical sessions, Os’mose was tasked by this international body to organize this three-day workshop. The event included conferences but was almost exclusively focused on practical workshops. Os’mose partnered with the Ghent-based non-profit Hachiko, where Elke De Vleeschouwer played a particularly active role.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIP was the central theme of the workshop. How do you build a trusting relationship within the assistance dog/instructor/foster family/beneficiary team? Demonstrating that nothing can be learned through fear, discomfort, or coercion. Creating a safe environment with gentleness, patience, and kindness. Cooperating rather than imposing.
