Roles and Missions of OS'MOSE
Social purpose
Why Os'mose? To designate a reciprocal and intimate influence, that which is born of the mutual complicity and harmony between a master and his dog, especially when the latter is a person with reduced mobility.
Os'mose's main aim is to help people weakened by disability or illness regain some of their autonomy and thus contribute to their social reintegration, thanks to the presence of an assistance dog at their side.
As the association's main objective is the integration of people with disabilities, Os'mose also has a dog training center where people with family dogs and assistance dogs can take part in joint courses.
Our working methods respect the "One Health, One Welfare" concept, which recognizes the direct and indirect interdependencies between the well-being of animals and people.

Association objectives
Having achieved all the objectives set for its first ten years of existence, in 2022, the General Meeting has set the following short-, medium- and long-term objectives (2, 5 and 10 years).
The association's first objective is to maintain what has already been achieved, and never to lower the quality of both the assistance dogs and the teaching provided at the dog training center.
Full members therefore undertake to :
- maintain its recognition (AVIQ) and accreditations (ADI - AAII)
- set up training courses on animal welfare, working methods for family dogs, etc., to share knowledge and ensure that all canine instructors use positive methods.
The aim is to increase and improve collaboration between the instructors of the training center and those of the assistance dogs.
The other two areas of focus are fund-raising and communication. Firstly, we need to extend our tax-exempt status, and secondly, we need to find solid partners who can guarantee us a recurring annual financial contribution. Finally, we need to improve our social network management and communications, by working with professional partners who are competent in this field.
